This is Geoff’s second Australian Team, his debut was as a member of the victorious 2005 Australia Match Team. Geoff started target rifle shooting in the Army cadets at school and has been involved in the sport almost continuously for some 35 years.
In 1992, he was selected in the state team to New Zealand which was very successful winning all the competitions entered. Geoff went on to Captain two Queensland teams to Bisley, in 2000 where they won the Junior McKinnon, and again in 2003. Most recently he has represented Queensland in the last three national teams matches, to Tasmania, Sydney and Brisbane.
Geoff has played an active role in the administration of shooting at club, district and state levels. He is currently on the board of the Queensland Rifle Association, and is the NRAA Delegate on the ICFRA Council.
Geoff is a marine engineer by profession and lives in Brisbane where he is happily married to Julie.
