As a fourth generation rifle shooter Janet was born and bred on team shooting, inheriting her love for the sport from her Grandfather who shot and coached in both New South Wales State and National Teams.
She started shooting as a teenager on Long Bay Rifle Range in New South Wales. Janet has since represented her state several times as a shooter, and in 2004 and 2006 she worked as a coach for the West Australian Team. Janet was also a member of the 1988 National Ladies Team.
Janet’s many shooting achievements include being a member of West Australia’s 2001 Merrett winning team and winning the West Australian Queen’s in 1997.
Janet is a Service Manager for the Disability Industry and lives in Perth Western Australia. Outside of shooting she has had the personal privilege of raising three boys, all now young men. Never one to enjoy dull moments, she lives all parts of her life to the fullest, to which her long suffering husband will attest!
