Jim is a long time member of the Lyndhurst Rifle Club, joining up around the age of 15, and for many years was primarily a recreational shooter. He now focuses on achieving his highest potential in the sport and attributes his enthusiasm to represent Australia to the long and strong history of his club.
Jim’s most notable achievement was his recent win in the 2006 New South Wales Queen’s where he equalled the highest score on record. He has been Club Champion six times, and has represented his State in the National Teams matches, as well as New South Wales Country and District Teams.
Jim describes himself as having a rural background, and was responsible for running a family farm until 1998 when the partnership was dissolved and the property sold. He now works as a Quality Assurance Officer for a major pet-food manufacturer in Blayney, New South Wales. Jim has been married to wife Frances for 27 years and together they have four children, Steve, Dan, Kylie and Mike.
