Like many full bore shooters, Reg followed his father and grandfather into our sport some 48 years ago. As an accomplished shooter in his own right, Reg started his rise to national recognition by winning the NSW state Junior “Champion of Champions” titles in 1961 and 1962.
Being a technical perfectionist, Reg has laid claim to several DRA Championships, lead-ups and Queen’s high level badges. He represented Australia in New Zealand in 1980 and with Alistair McPherson’s Palma Team to Bisley in 1985. He has dedicated much of his shooting career to administration, serving the State and National Councils and managing the Palma team to Canada and the USA in 1992.
The role of technical officer for this team fits nicely into the traits that Reg possesses and he has the resources at his disposal to assist the production of the 25,000 rounds of ammunition necessary for practice and competition.
An electrical/instrumentation engineer by profession, Reg runs his own business in water treatment and disinfection in Perth Western Australia.
