Rob has a very respectable shooting history having acquired over 30 Queen’s Badges including one at Bisley in 1990. He also represented Australia at the Oceania Games as a shooter in 1995. These days Rob divides his time between shooting and has also found a passion for coaching, this being his fourth selection as a coach in the Australian team.
Rob has loved shooting since his father first introduced him to it at the age of six. He descends from a long successful family history within Australian Shooting; both his father Doug, and his grandfather Jim, competed for Australia. Having decided to take it up seriously at the age of 28 soon after returning from overseas, rifle shooting has become a lifelong passion. This is much to the disdain of his family and most importantly his wife Sally, who has threatened on more than one occasion to join him on the range as it may be the only real chance to capture his full attention!
Rob and Sally have a testosterone-fuelled household with three grown boys and a male Dalmatian who have all happily made their home in Brisbane.
