After first competing for Australia in 1976, Rob is now considered to be one of the veterans of the group. He has been a Palma Team member in five previous events, celebrating two team wins for the 1979 and 1988 events. He also medaled in the Individual World Championships matches in 1995, 1999 and 2003.
Rob has won six Queen’s Prizes and multiple Grand Aggregates in Australia. He has collected over 70 Queen’s badges from his travels around the states of Australia, and to Bisley, New Zealand, Canada and Zimbabwe.
Rob is actively involved in the administration of the sport, being the Vice President of the QRA and a past Chairman of the Belmont Shooting Complex Management Committee.
In his professional life, Rob works in the banking and finance industries in Queensland. He currently operates an advisory practice in financial services and is also a director of a community based credit union. He and his wife Julie have two children, all of whom have encouraged him to keep up his travelling for shooting at the expense of their own personal holidays.
